REVIEW – CONCAVE FOOTBALL BOOTS
Concave football boots have just arrived at Sportsmart! We’re extremely excited about offering this revolutionary new range to our customers. Concave football boots naturally complement the shape of a football. Footballs are convex in shape and the boots create a ‘cup’ for any football. This allows players to kick with more accuracy, control and power.
These football boots are far more consistent than standard football boots. In fact they have a sweet spot which is four times larger than other football boots! This is achieved with the uniquely shaped and patented concave element which as mentioned previously ‘cups’ the ball. Tennis racquets and golf clubs operate on the same concept with larger sweet spots which are able to provide the player with fewer margins for error. This unique feature is sure to provide you with a huge advantage on the field.
There are four styles in the Concave range: Quantum1, PTX1, T1 and KZ2. Each style varies in quality and technology. For further information on each style you can click on the links. All of these styles are available at Sportsmart both in store and online. Purchase any Concave football boots online and receive free shipping.

REVIEW – ADIDAS 11PRO SL TRX FG FOOTBALL BOOTS
The Adidas 11Pro SL TRX FG football boots combine technology and innovation with heritage to create a K-leather lightweight football boot. The K-leather is used in the forefoot and tongue area to provide you with incredible fit and feel. Sprintskin is used in the heel area to reduce as much weight as possible.
Stability during lateral movements is optimised with the use of a 360 degree support saddle. This is an ultra thin anatomically shaped saddle which wraps around the midfoot. The Traxion 2.0 stud configuration provides maximum acceleration on natural, dry and firm ground surfaces. REVIEW – NIKE VAPOR SUPERFLY III FG FOOTBALL BOOTS
The Nike Vapor Superfly III FG football boots are designed specifically for explosive play. Experience superior speed with the ground gripping traction system, these Nike football boots will also provide you with the ultimate precision on short grass fields.
The flywire technology helps provide ultra lightweight support to the soft and supple teijin synthetic upper which provides players with comfort and support. The Flywire gets its strength from thin Nylon fibres strategically placed on the upper of the football boot to hold the foot in place helping to reduce slippage during running, this also reduces weight.
The Nike Vapor Superfly III FG football boots have been enhanced with a strategically located coating in the forefoot area which is designed to help you control the ball at maximum speed. A foam heel collar which has a clear sticky coating provides a snug and secure fit.
Also contributing to the Nike Vapor Superfly III FG’s light weight is the carbon fibre chassis which strips weight to the absolute minimum while maximising strength. The contoured design mirrors the shape of the foot for an enhanced fit and feel.
Nike Sense technology adjusts stud length according to surface type for the relentless grip and acceleration the game demands. Dual density studs and Nike’s Vapor Traction system allow for effortless cutting and instant acceleration. For instant bursts of speed, these Nike football boots also feature toe-off traction in the forefoot.

DONATE YOUR PRE LOVED FOOTBALL BOOTS TO A GREAT CAUSE!
Sportsmart is working with the Reagan Milstein Foundation to collect pre loved football boots. The Reagan Milstein Foundation collects pre-loved football boots and passes them on to children who cannot afford to buy boots.
These children can sometimes be in communities as far away as Tonga or Cambodia or as close as Northern Territory or Dandenong, depending on the need at the time.
They also collect unused and unwanted sporting uniforms so if your club has boxes of left over gear in its garage they are happy to take it off your hands. None of these items are resold.
The donations bin is located in our footwear department at Sportsmart Moorabbin. If you have any boots or gear you don’t wear anymore, bring them down as your donations will help those in need.

TRADE WEEK….LOVE IT!
The winner of the Sportsmart AFL sponsorship program, Michael Shmerling, provides regular blog articles on his favourite topic – football …
Ahh the merry-go-round of the AFL season is finally here, and I gotta say that I love it! The season is done and dusted, the cats are the champions with the pies looking forward to reclaiming there title in season 2012. Dane Swan is the Brownlow medallist and GWS is even closer to entering the competition. But now comes the fun stuff.
Trade week is that best week in the football calender, no player is safe as each club looks to strengthen their list with players from rival teams they believe can win them a premiership. Who will go, who will give in to the GWS cashola?
Names of those seeking a new club are;
Tony Armstrong, Jack Gunston, Setanta O’Hailpin, Paul Bowyer, Alan Toovey, Ricky Dyson, Henry Slattery, Jonathon Griffin, Xavier Ellis, Matthew Warnock, Matthew Bate, Luke McGuiene, St Kilda FC (too many players linked to quote) Paul Bevan, Josh Hill, Brad Ebert.
They are just to name a few, with St Kilda being the only club with links to 50million of there players wanted out/out of contract/salary cap problems.
So what does your club need and want? The Herald Sun believes that every club needs more midfielders. I’m gonna leave this question right up to you, the bloggers of Sportsmart. Sometimes the best judge of a club are its fans, we are the ones that will be the harsh judges on our teams performance and the players involved. So I pose this to all bloggers and readers, post your thoughts on trade week below in the comments box. I will in turn answer your thoughts. I do have my insiders and will try and deliever the stories as they happen to you.
Happy Trading!
ANOTHER COACH BITES THE DUST!
The winner of the Sportsmart AFL sponsorship program, Michael Shmerling, provides regular blog articles on his favourite topic – football …
Neil Craig, Dean Bailey and now Rocket Eade are gone, and now the task of appointing an Adelaide, Melbourne and Western Bulldogs coach have hit fever pitch. Two unlucky coaches given the flick as the other simply didn’t have what it takes, you work out who they are. But what should these clubs look for in a new coach, what makes a successful coach? Well below are my predictions on this coaching merry-go round, and by seasons end we’ll see how close I am.
Adelaide:
I personally believe that the best candidate for the Adelaide Crows is the man that is leading them. Mark Binkley is the right man for the job. He has the pulling power of a James Hird or Nathan Buckley to bring the club together again. This is one of Adelaide’s worst seasons in their history and Binkley has the power to help the Crows re-establish themselves as a real contender.
Melbourne:
Melbourne have said they want a coach with experience, a coach with a real presence and there are only 2 coaches out there that fits that bill, that’s Mark Williams and Rodney ‘Rocket’ Eade. Both coaches are a perfect fit, both coaches have coached at clubs with limited resources and have worked will in that environment. So Melbourne, make your choice but I believe that Rocket is best suited as Mark Williams has been out of the game a little longer than a week like Rocket.
Western Bulldogs:
Club legend Leon Cameron, get him now! Another club champion similar to Mark Binkley, he will bring the club back and its supporters. I believe the obvious choice for the role, has a number of years experience as an assistant as well as a stint at the bulldogs.
Its gonna be a coaching circus, so lets all sit back and enjoy!
ABUSE IN FOOTBALL…WHY WE HAVE NO NEED FOR IT
The winner of the Sportsmart AFL sponsorship program, Michael Shmerling, provides regular blog articles on his favourite topic – football …
As a player of the last 15years and a current junior coach, I’ve seen and heard my fair share of abuse. Being apart of a Jewish football team has its costs, and sometimes they are on the wrong side of sportsmanship. But now in the 21st Century, you’d think that such behaviour wouldn’t exist as such words of hatred would have been thrown out with olden day football. Well as we have learnt through some high profile incidents this year, abuse and sledging has been taken to a whole new level, but why?
Abuse and sledging is apart of our game, no question about it, but it’s in those words that now have a new meaning and a new strength to do more damage to an individual and/or team that has made headlines. What happened to the old saying “chewy on ya boot” or “my grandma can kick this”. What ever happened to the footy sledging that was harmless and only involved in game banter.
Football abuse and banter has taken a turn for the worse in recent months with great affect on the great game. Racist and abusive taunting are ruining our game, well done to Lyndon Dunn for taking a stand and saying that it’s not on. The AFL handled it right and so have the West Coast Eagles.
Here is my message to all footballers and supporters out there,
SLEDGE RIGHT, DON’T ABUSE AND TAUNT AS KARMA WILL ALWAYS BITE BACK.
